The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
