Intensive Russian Attacks Cut Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were hurt.

The attacks follow periods of air raids in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
