The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the group reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Fans can look forward to discovering which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
